Value of an APTTI Montessori certificate
An APTTI certificate tells an employer you completed a structured, assessed Montessori course at a stated level and number of hours.
What it shows
The course level (Certificate, Diploma or PG Diploma), the hours studied, and that you passed module MCQs and a reviewed assignment. APTTI states that its institute and certificate are notarised in Canada.
Where it is commonly used
Private preschools, Montessori-inspired nurseries, day-care centres, home-based programmes, after-school centres and parents' own home learning, in India and abroad.
Where it is not enough
Posts that require AMI, AMS or MACTE credentials; government school posts that require a licence such as D.El.Ed., B.Ed., TRCN (Nigeria), TSC (Kenya), SACE (South Africa) or ECDA certification (Singapore preschools).
Making it count
Pair the certificate with a portfolio: lesson plans, photos of materials you made, observation notes (with initials, not children's names) and references from any classroom experience.
