What are puzzle maps in Montessori?
Puzzle maps are wooden jigsaw maps with knobbed pieces for continents and countries. Children remove and replace pieces, learn names and shapes, trace outlines, and later make their own maps. They are part of cultural studies and build geographical awareness and fine motor control.
